The Department of Special Collections at the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library, houses the University of Saint Thomas Libraries’s collection of rare books and manuscripts. Italso hosts the Adrian Brewer paintings collection. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Adrian Brewer, a well-known portrait and landscape painter, received special attention for his impressionist-style work. The collection includes portraits of archbishops and priests, as well as landscapes. The paintings are located respectively in the Special Collections department, Archbishop’s Apartment, President’s House, and other spaces in the campus.

RARA restored the entire paintings collection of Adrian Brewer.
